Enid Perez-Lara joined Agronomix in May 2022. Since then she has helped our clients by offering quality support and training. Today Enid is an active participant in the Agriculture Industry appearing on-stage at several live events in 2024. Enid is a champion on diversity in both plants and business management. Enid holds a PhD and MBA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What inspired you to pursue a career in the plant breeding industry? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I grew up in Cuba, but agriculture wasn\u2019t something I initially thought about. My husband suggested I explore the field of agriculture, seeing its untapped potential and fewer competitors. Once I began working in plant breeding, I quickly fell in love with it and knew I wouldn\u2019t want to do anything else. Genetics, in particular, was my favorite subject at university. I understood it deeply and truly enjoyed it. Since then, everything I\u2019ve done, whether writing, research, or marketing studies, has been intimately connected to plant breeding. It became a passion that continues to grow every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developing climate-resilient crops is both a challenge and a passion. Finding ways to address food security while improving efficiency and sustainability is incredibly motivating. I\u2019m also intrigued by integrating new technologies to revolutionize breeding programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
